On what background is all of this written?

My first experiences in trading on the stock exchange were acquired at 13 years of age. Back then I would trade a few different stocks of well known companies, often on the basis of analysis made by my own bank.

Later on I progressed into trading stocks more actively, and gradually turned my focus more and more towards technical analysis.

Since technical analysis is fundamentally based on price making and not the actual product, this focus will often lead one into a variety of focuses in trading. For me it was very much so and after leaving stocks behind(due to commisions!) I have periodically and overlappingly had my focus on futures and CFD's based on everything from financial indexes to raw materials, forex markets and even back to stock markets.
